Chris describes the X-Treme Sun Reflector like this:
"Basically it stops the sun from heating up the front of the bag when in direct sunlight. The temperature increase without it on can be in the region of 15°C. With the reflector on it stops the chanter from climbing in pitch and particularly stops the top hand from going sharp and unstable."
